Minis Race for Charity in the 2019 Pork Pie Charity Run.
“Have fun and raise a few funds.”
That’s the motto of the Pork Pie Charity Run – an idea conjured up in 2007, initially planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the MINI Cooper in 2009. MINI maniacs from all over the country packed out our northern most town, Kaitaia. Over the next few days, they would parade their passion across 2,500km, as they headed toward their final destination, Invercargill – retracing the route taken by the original MINI in the Kiwi classic, Goodbye Pork Pie.
With the help of MINI NZ, the Pork Pie Charity Run continued to thrive, biannually, for the past 10 years – raising over one million dollars for various New Zealand charities.
Once again, on the 19th of April 2019, MINI madness was set in motion. Watch as the crew take on their impressive 6-day journey.
